Single Session Vertical Jump Testing Variability May Be Due to Within-Subject Lower Extremity Differences in
Female Subjects
Vertical jump testing with force plates is used in team sessions to obtain deeper insight into acute and chronic training-related adaptations as well as metabolic and neuromuscular fatigue on the athlete, which dictate further consideration and methodology of a training program. However, it is common for vertical jump testing of an athlete to include variability within a single session of testing. The purpose of this study was to examine whether differences in force production or neuromuscular coordination between-limbs of subjects consequently results in countermovement jump testing variability.
